How the space is divided

The Living Room and Kitchen are the largest open area, at 20.2 m² and 10.1 m², and share a 4.2 m wall, forming the main living zone. The three Bedrooms are similar in size, ranging from 9.9 m² to 11.9 m², and are grouped along the Hall. The Hall runs 7.2 m and connects the Living Room, all Bedrooms, and the Kitchen, but the Bathroom is only accessible through the Kitchen. The Entry, Storage, and Bathroom are compact at 5.0 m² each, with Storage between the Entry and Bathroom.

Who this layout suits

This plan suits a small family or couple who need three separate sleeping spaces but prioritize a generous living area. The largest Bedroom 1 at 11.9 m² (128 ft²) could be a primary suite, while Bedroom 3 at 9.9 m² (106 ft²) works as a child's room or home office. The single Bathroom, at 5.0 m², is accessible only via the Kitchen, which may be inconvenient for guests but is fine for a private household. The open Kitchen and Living Room, at 10.1 m² and 20.2 m², accommodate daily living and entertaining.

How to adapt it

To gain more privacy, you could widen the Kitchen from 2.4 m to 3.0 m and shift the wall with the Bathroom, but this would reduce the Bathroom's 5.0 m² area. Alternatively, open the wall between Bedroom 3 and the Entry to create a larger Entry or a study, but you would lose a bedroom. The Storage room, at 5.0 m², could be converted into a half bath if you extend plumbing from the adjacent Bathroom, but then you lose storage. You could also merge the Living Room and Hall by removing the wall, making the open area even larger, but that eliminates the hallway's separation.
