How the space is divided

The Entry Hall runs 1.5 m × 5.2 m along the front, with doors into the Kitchen, Bedroom 1, and a Hallway that leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The Living Room is the largest area at 3.7 m × 7.5 m and shares walls with the Dining Room, Kitchen, and Laundry Room. Bedroom 1 is 3.9 m × 4.6 m and sits next to Bedroom 2, which is 3.9 m × 3.9 m and shares a wall with Bedroom 3. The Dining Room at 3.7 m × 4.3 m is adjacent to both bathrooms, giving it a central position but also limiting its privacy.

Who this layout suits

This plan suits a family that values a large communal living area, as the Living Room is 3.7 m × 7.5 m, and the Kitchen at 2.7 m × 5.3 m is adjacent to it. With three bedrooms ranging from 3.9 m × 4.6 m to 3.9 m × 3.3 m, there is room for children or guests. The separate Laundry Room and two bathrooms, including a 2.7 m × 1.9 m second bath, add convenience for daily routines. The Hallway at 1.5 m × 6.6 m provides private access to the bedrooms and baths.

How to adapt it

Widening the Kitchen from 2.7 m to 3.0 m would take space from the Living Room, reducing its 3.7 m width, but the two share a 5.3 m wall so a change is possible. Merging the Dining Room with the Living Room by removing their shared wall would create one large open area, but would eliminate the separate Dining Room. Moving the wall between Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 could increase one bedroom's size at the expense of the other, since they share a 3.9 m wall. The Laundry Room could be enlarged by taking space from the adjacent Kitchen or Bathroom 1, both of which share walls with it.
