How the space is divided

The plan dedicates the largest single area to the Great Room at 44.6 m² (481 ft²), which shares a wall with the Kitchen (4.5 m) and Dining (4.7 m), forming the open-concept core. The three Bedrooms are grouped together, with Bedroom 1 at 16.0 m² (172 ft²) the largest, sharing walls with Bedroom 2 and the Entry Hall. The Entry Hall runs 6.6 m and connects the main entrance to Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Bathroom 1, and the Kitchen, while a Corridor links the Entry Hall to Bedroom 3, Bathroom 2, Laundry, and Storage. Trade-offs include the Great Room's dominance limiting the Kitchen to 12.2 m² (131 ft²) and the Dining area to 9.9 m² (106 ft²), and the compact Bathroom 2 at 4.1 m² (44 ft²) and Laundry at 4.1 m² (44 ft²) sharing a wall.

Who this layout suits

This plan suits a household that prioritizes a large open living space over expansive private rooms. The Great Room at 44.6 m² (481 ft²) is ideal for entertaining, while the three bedrooms (Bedroom 1 at 16.0 m², Bedroom 2 at 12.2 m², Bedroom 3 at 11.2 m²) are adequate for a family. The Entry Hall and Corridor create a clear separation between the public zone and the sleeping area, and the Laundry (4.1 m²) plus Storage (5.9 m²) provide practical utility spaces, though Bathroom 2 at 4.1 m² (44 ft²) is compact.

How to adapt it

Widening the Kitchen from 2.7 m to 3.6 m by taking space from the Great Room would increase its footprint but reduce the Great Room's open area. Alternatively, merging the Laundry and Storage (which share a 2.7 m wall) into a larger utility room would create a single bigger space, but would eliminate the separate Storage room. The Corridor could be shortened by moving the wall between it and Bedroom 3 (shared wall 3.3 m), but this would reduce Bedroom 3's size from 11.2 m². Opening a door between Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 (they share a 3.4 m wall) would create a suite but remove privacy between them.
