How the space is divided

The open-concept Living & Kitchen occupies 386 ft², making it the largest area, and it connects directly to the Entry and Hall. The two bedrooms, Bedroom 1 at 147 ft² and Bedroom 2 at 127 ft², share a wall and are accessed separately—Bedroom 1 from the Entry and Bedroom 2 from the Hall. The Bathroom (54 ft²) and Closet (54 ft²) sit between the Living & Kitchen and the Hall, sharing a wall with each other. The Hall (89 ft²) runs along the bedrooms and provides access to the Closet, while the Entry (44 ft²) is the smallest space, linking the exterior to the main living area.

Who this layout suits

This plan suits a small household or a couple who prioritize a spacious open living area over private rooms. The 386 ft² Living & Kitchen allows for flexible furniture arrangement and entertaining, while the two bedrooms (147 ft² and 127 ft²) are modest but adequate for sleeping. The separate Entry provides a buffer from the outdoors, and the 54 ft² Bathroom is compact but functional. The Hall, at 89 ft², adds circulation space that might be considered wasted for minimalists, but it keeps the bedrooms private.

How to adapt it

To enlarge Bedroom 1 from 3.1 m × 4.4 m, you could take 1.0 m from the Hall's 5.5 m length, since they share a 1.7 m wall, reducing the Hall to about 4.5 m. Alternatively, merge the Closet (2.8 m × 1.8 m) with the Bathroom (2.8 m × 1.8 m) by removing their shared wall, creating a larger bathroom of about 5.6 m × 1.8 m, but you lose the separate storage space. The Living & Kitchen could be extended by absorbing the Hall's 3.7 m shared wall, but that would cut off direct access from the Hall to the bedrooms. Widening the Entry from 1.5 m to 2.0 m would require taking space from Bedroom 1 or the Living & Kitchen, since they share walls with the Entry.
